keep First Things first

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.” Proverbs 21:2

God knows our motives; don’t worry what people think, but consider prayerfully the Lord’s desire, to will and work for His good pleasure.

“To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” Proverbs 21:3

God doesn’t need our stuff; He desires our devotion to Jesus Christ, that we might live by faith in Him and love our fellow man.

“Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.” Proverbs 21:21

when we keep God as first priority, focusing on Jesus as the center of life, everything else comes into perspective and falls into place.

Always, Continually

when once you begin your walk of faith in Jesus Christ, He will never leave you nor forsake you… for even when you are faithless, He is faithful; His strength will be made evident in your time of weakness; and His righteous glory will shine even in the darkest of your days. don’t ever give up or give in to despair, for He is there to hold you up.

“When my soul was embittered, when I was pricked in heart, I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you. Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:21-26

start, and finish, with God

“Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.”, “The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.”, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” (Proverbs 16:3,9,25)

God is always the key to your success, in any venture. consult with him right from the start, and let His wisdom guide you from start to finish. don’t forget, as a servant of Jesus Christ, it’s really him you’re serving, so whatever your hands find to do, work at it with all your heart and strength, not as for your earthly masters but for your Lord himself.

don’t trade God’s Treasure for this world’s trash

“See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God… that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears.” Hebrews 12:15-17 (abbr.)

there is nothing of more value than salvation by faith in Jesus Christ, for it alone leads to eternal life. when temptation comes, and it surely will, and when trouble surrounds you, as in this life it must, do not let go of what you’ve obtained to grasp at straws and dung, but cling fast to your faith and trust in God, for he will deliver you.

Don’t Give Up!

there is yet hope… it does not matter the darkness you’re in, in does not matter how badly you’re lost. God knows just where you are, God sees you no matter how dark it is. Jesus Christ has already paid the price for all that you’ve done, paid in full with his precious blood on the cross at Calvary, so that just as He rose from the darkness of this world to new life on the third day, so, too, you might be lifted from the darkness of this world into new life in Him. only believe, today, now, calling out to God in the name of Jesus Christ. wherever you are, no matter what you’ve been through, it isn’t too late. there is yet hope.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” John 3:16-17

“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” Romans 10:9-10

is every day Sunday?

‎”Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ…” (Philippians 1:27)

we should each search ourselves and ask whether our life bears witness to our faith in the Truth of Jesus Christ. having heard the Gospel and and believed, are we submitted to God’s will or clutching a ‘get out of Hell free’ card and just going through the Sunday motions?

who knows best: you or God???

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5)

don’t judge your situation by what you see, think, or feel… don’t allow circumstances and peer pressure to push you around. have faith, stand firm on the Rock of Truth, know in your heart, mind, and soul that victory is already yours in Jesus Christ, for the darkness will never triumph over the Light.
